One Peace at a Time

by Amy Chait

With so many causes to address in this world, we may find it easy to ask: where do I begin?

We begin with one child at a time, and I learned this by attending a screening for Turk Pipkin’s documentary “One Peace at a Time.” Our conscience might motivate us to donate or volunteer because it is the right thing to do; however, the causes for children are not just the right thing to do – the UN actually states they have the right to the same fundamental needs we have.

In the documentary, Turk Pipkin trotted around the world with his camera to not only document devastating issues in different regions – but solutions that are making a substantial impact in education, nutrition, and health. Although we may find it difficult to fathom what living in a third world country would be ...

Tycoon trades high life because money made him unhappy

February 9, 2010 0 Comments

I came across this news article about an Austrian tycoon who is giving away every penny of his £3 million ($5.3 million) fortune, having realised that his riches made him unhappy. In a world where negative news is an everyday exposure, stories like this give us hope, lift our spirits, and make us smile...

Good is all that exists

I received an email from Rhonda Byrne, the creator and author of the successful book 'The Secret'. Through her email campaigns, I received an excerpt of 'The Secret Daily Teachings'. It was an excerpt fresh of breath air so I would love to share it...

Good is underneath every single thing that appears to be negative. If we can know that good is all there is, including in a negative situation, then we will see a negative situation transform into all good. Most people keep the good away from themselves because they label something as bad, and then, of course, that becomes their reality. But there is no bad in the Universe; it is just our inability to see things clearly from the bigger perspective.

Peace comes from knowing that good is all that exists.

May the joy be with you,

What Is The Secret

Whether you think you can or you can't... you're right!

It was 'installed' in me as a young man... the thought that you need education. And so I went about my way, assuming that was correct, believing it and not ever questioning it because it came from my parents whom I have seen achieve so much and I didn't even know how they did it.

And so it was in my mind, that education was the be-all and end-all of what I was required to fulfill and respect for magical qualities it would bring me into my life. With this view in my subconscious I had managed to get myself through high school and the rest of higher education. Up until that point in time, I was aware of education being a means to an end. So you study maths to become a mathematician or an engineer of some sort. You study science to become a scientist or go ...
