It was 'installed' in me as a young man... the thought that you need education. And so I went about my way, assuming that was correct, believing it and not ever questioning it because it came from my parents whom I have seen achieve so much and I didn't even know how they did it.
And so it was in my mind, that education was the be-all and end-all of what I was required to fulfill and respect for magical qualities it would bring me into my life. With this view in my subconscious I had managed to get myself through high school and the rest of higher education. Up until that point in time, I was aware of education being a means to an end. So you study maths to become a mathematician or an engineer of some sort. You study science to become a scientist or go on to be a doctor. It was an equation that seemed to work up until I entered the job market. Fresh as a daisy, I managed to make it from the 'education phase' to the 'working phase'. Mind you, at this point I assumed that education was finished and I was pleased looking forward to giving my head a break from picking up books and studying and examinations. Thank God, the learning was over. I was wrong - totally wrong. It had just started.... in ways more subtle than I had experienced before.
During the run of my graduate years, I came across the smart, the very smart and then the thinkers... You see in the eighties and nineties, the state of mind of the populations was that if you did not attend school, or have the required prior education you were deemed to be a failure. And so it was, your life followed that train of thought. As we approached the turn of the century, with information becoming more readily available through computers and the internet, suddenly there was a huge shift in the awareness of people in the world. We began to 'open our eyes', as the saying goes. We thought outside the circle of norms that we are accustomed to. Therefore, at that point in time, I certainly came across many people who without ANY prior required education managed to hold that exclusive position and lifestyle. Remember those that dropped out? Those that just never did well at school. What education? They were making it bigger than you'd imagined. The point is they imagined it! I remember thinking to myself, "I'm clearly seeing a shift in the way people are thinking". And so it became that way, people were liberated through education in their thoughts rather than the education of the world system.
So I formed my own conclusion on education... you do need it. However, you have every right to choose the education which your heart desires. Choose that and become the expert. Fulfill your heart desires on that topic so that you may in turn share this with your loved ones. For some people, 'loved ones' can extend to the whole world. How wonderful! This leads to positive sharing, harmony and global knowledge. We live in an age of information sharing and elevated thinking powers. It is our right to be immersed in this global opportunity.
